- Exception: Adjuster class only - If the applicant holds an adjuster license with only one LOA and submits an application to add another, applicant will be charged $20 amendment fee.

Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit initial license for individuals electronically.
- Submit major lines of authority.
- Submit limited lines of authority.
- Submit surplus lines for individuals.
- Add lines of authority (amend) to an existing active license.
- Reinstate/reapply through NIPR's Resident License Application.
- Print license electronically.
Business Rules
P.O. Box addresses will not be accepted for physical residence or physical business location addresses.
Applicant must provide a physical residential address and/or physical business location address in the jurisdiction. Excluding bail bondsman.
Applicant must provide a resident, mailing and business address in the jurisdiction. Applies only to bail bondsman.
Applicant must not currently hold an active resident license in another jurisdiction.
Applicant is exempt from license exam if applying within ninety (90) days of cancellation of their former resident state's license.
Renewal is allowed within ninety (90) days prior to expiration date.
Exams are valid for two (2) years from the date the exam was taken.
Applicants for the variable line of authority (LOA) must supply a FINRA Central Registry Depository (CRD) number on the application. If you need to verify your CRD number you may use the Broker Search feature found on FINRA's website.
Applicant applying for variable must hold or be applying for life.
Applicants applying for surplus lines must already hold an active Oklahoman insurance producer license with property and casualty lines.
Bail bondsman applicant's business address county must match the county provided for applicant's mailing address.
Bail bondsman applicants in voluntarily surrendered status must apply as new through resident license Application and meet exam requirements.
Bail Bondsman applicant cannot apply for the multicounty agent bondsman line of authority (LOA) and Professional LOA on the same application.
Bail Bondsman applicant cannot apply for a Professional line of authority (LOA) if the applicant currently has an active multicounty agent bondsman LOA on the Producer Database (PDB).
Apprentice Adjuster is only available by paper application. Please contact the OK Department of Insurance for the application.
- Reinstatements:
- Applicant reinstating insurance producer with major lines, title, adjuster, public adjuster, bail bondsman or customer service representative license types must satisfy Continuing Education requirements, prior to applying.
- If an applicant has one (1) of the following status reasons a reinstatement will not be allowed:
- Commissioner's Order
- Deceased
- Revoked
- Revoked by state-admin action
- Applicant reinstating insurance producer with major lines, title, adjuster, public adjuster, bail bondsman or customer service representative license types must satisfy Continuing Education requirements, prior to applying.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
