Applicant must be eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth, with an exception for Administrator applicants, who must be at least twenty-one (21) years old.
Applicants who are non-citizens must provide a copy of work authorization or green card.
Applicant must hold or apply for life to hold a variable line of authority (LOA).
Applicant must actively hold or apply for property and casualty LOA to hold a surplus lines broker license or a managing general agent license.
Applicant cannot actively hold independent adjuster license in conjunction with public adjuster, or staff adjuster license.
Applicant cannot hold public adjuster license in conjunction with staff or independent adjuster license.
Applicant cannot hold staff adjuster license in conjunction with public or independent adjuster license.
Applicants applying for the variable LOA must supply FINRA CRD number on application.
To apply for life agent registered as life settlement broker license, applicant must have held an active agent life license for at least one (1) year.
All reinsurance intermediary broker and managers must provide list of insurers to be represented. The state will verify agent or surplus lines broker license needed to hold this license.
