Some NIPR credentialing applications may require you to submit social security numbers or forms of ID.
Collection of Information
You do not need to reveal any personally identifiable information to browse NIPR.com. NIPR does not include any features on our website that allows a third party to track you.
Information we collect from you may include: information you provide by filling out forms and applications; records and copies of your correspondence, including email address; your responses to surveys and the details of transactions you complete at NIPR.com.
Some NIPR applications require you to enter into a license agreement with the NIPR. The license agreement governs the collection, use and disclosure of information while in these applications and where the terms of this privacy statement are inconsistent, the license agreement controls.
If you contact our customer experience team, we may collect call and message log information like your phone number, email address, time and date of calls, messages and chats, duration of calls, routing information, and types and volumes of calls, messages and chats.
NIPR does not store your credit card information.
NIPR's web site uses cookies to provide the best website experience. Cookies are small web-generated files that are stored on your computer hard drive to collect information about your activities on a website. Cookies are also used to store application data while the application is in use.
NIPR uses "Google Analytics" and "LogRocket," to collect information about your use of NIPR.com. NIPR online applications collect your information to process and send state credentialing transactions to state insurance departments.
How We Disclose your Information
NIPR may share your information with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners ("NAIC") and state insurance departments.
NIPR uses service providers to perform tasks on our behalf and improve our services such as payment processing, analytics, marketing, and web hosting. We take appropriate measures to help ensure that our service providers provide the same level of protection for your Personal Information as we do.
NIPR does not provide Personal Information collected to third parties other than in aggregated form, except as stated in this privacy statement or with your consent. Personal Information and evidence of licensure may be provided to companies who have a permissible purpose and have your permission to receive your information pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”).
Security of Information
NIPR views security of confidential and private information as a top priority.
NIPR provides secure transmission of sensitive and Personal Information from your computer to the NIPR's Web Server. NIPR encrypts many of its services using the industry standard TLS (transport layer security) encryption. Sensitive data, including SSNs if required, received by NIPR is encrypted at rest.
NIPR also maintains access control procedures. NIPR restricts access to sensitive information to employees and contractors who need to know the information to do their job and are subject to confidentiality obligations.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure and NIPR does not ensure or warrant the security of the transmission of information.
