Applicant Can
- Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
- Submit can reinstate a license electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
- Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
- Add lines of authority to an existing active license electronically.
Business Rules

Business entities will apply through Non-Resident Licensing (NRL) rather than Non-Resident Adjuster Licensing (NRAL).

Applicant must be 18 years old or older as determined from the applicant’s Date of Birth

If applicant’s license has a status reason of Voluntary Surrender, applicant must reapply as new applicant through NRAL application

Applicants applying for the license NON-RES PUBLIC ADJUSTER are required to have a surety bond in the amount of no less than $20,000. Bond must be obtained prior to transacting business as a public adjuster in Pennsylvania.

Applicants applying for the NON-RES PUBLIC ADJUSTER license must use a contract approved by the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.

Applicants applying for the NON-RES Public Adjuster license class cannot reapply through initial application from 1 to 60 days after license expiration. Applicant is allowed to late renew through NRAR up to 60 days following license expiration date. Applicant can reapply starting the 61st day following license expiration
- Applicants cannot reapply for or reinstate license day 61 through day 63 after expiration date (may apply on day 64).

PA does not track the owners, officer, partners, directors, etc. of a business entity unless the individual is a DRLP.

For resident individual producers who need to obtain a clearance letter for change of home state purposes or surrender their license or line of authority, a request form can be obtained here.
For non-resident individual producers or business entities, the license may simply expire by disregarding the renewal invoice. If early surrender is required, a request form can be obtained here.
