Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

Applicant must provide a valid residence, mailing and business address. P.O. Boxes are not allowed for residence address or business address.

Applications for “inactive” or “cancelled” licenses with a status reason other than “failure to renew” or Non CE Compliant must reapply through Resident License (RL) Application. The other cancelled or inactive are considered reinstatements and should use Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.

Georgia does not allow partial renewals.
- Every non us citizen must provide a signed, notarized copy of the Citizenship Affidavit Form and a copy of one secure and verifiable identification document and must be uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
- For all background questions, only incidents that have not been previously reported should be noted on renewals.
- If applicant responds "yes" to any of the background questions, supporting documents must be electronically uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date - Expiration Date- Biennially on the last day of the Birth Month
Late Renewal Period: The day after expiration date up to fifteen (15) days after.
Reinstatement Period: Eighteen (18) days past expiration date up to one (1) year after.
