NIPR ANNOUNCES TWO NEW BOARD MEMBERS

KANSAS CITY, MO (July 6, 2021) – The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors effective immediately. Joining the Board are Maeghan Gale, representing the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and Cari Lee, representing The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers (CIAB).

"We are excited to welcome both Ms. Gale and Ms. Lee to the Board of Directors. Their extensive industry and regulatory experience will help strengthen our position as we work to improve our service to regulators and producers," said NIPR CEO Karen Stakem Hornig.

Gale serves NAIFA as the Policy Director with the Government Relations team. In this role she conducts research and analysis, develops and coordinates advocacy policies and positions and leads efforts to see NAIFA positions incorporated into model legislation and regulations. She brings a wealth of firsthand financial service experience to the role and the Government Relations team, having held positions as an Agent/Producer for some of the industry’s leading companies.

Lee is the Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy at Steptoe & Johnson where she focuses on state insurance legislative and regulatory issues. She represents trade associations, companies and insurance brokers in the states and before the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) and the National Council of Insurance Legislators. Her experience spans the full gamut of insurance regulatory issues including; market conduct/sales practices and financial regulations in all product lines as well as producer licensing compliance.
