IMPORTANT NOTICE:
- All Vermont business entity licenses expire on March 31 of odd-numbered years.
- The renewal period opens 90 days prior to expiration (January 1 – March 31). Business entities that are issued a new license during this period must submit a renewal application and pay the renewal fee immediately after the license is issued in order to maintain active status beyond March 31.
- Example: If a new license is issued on February 26, 2027, the license will expire on March 31, 2027. Because the license was issued during the renewal period, the business entity must return to NIPR and file a renewal application immediately after issuance to keep the license active.
- For license-specific renewal details, please refer to the Vermont Business Entity License Renewal page.
