The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) recently announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors, bringing additional regulatory, legislative, and industry leadership experience to the organization’s governing board.

The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) has named Evan Daniels as Chief Legal Officer. Daniels joins NIPR from private practice, where he previously served as NIPR’s fractional General Counsel. Daniels is a former Director of the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (AZDIFI), during which time he served as a member of the NIPR Board of Directors.

As the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) celebrates 30 years of service to state insurance regulators and the insurance industry, the organization’s Board of Directors has announced a planned leadership transition. Chief Executive Officer Karen Stakem Hornig will retire in June 2027, with Chief Product and Technology Officer Eric Saul set to succeed her as CEO.

NAIC Membership has approved a series of improvements to the Uniform Licensing Application, adopted across all 54 jurisdictions. These updates, planned for Q2 2026, strengthen consistency, reduce ambiguity, and support a smoother licensing experience for regulators, producers, and industry partners.
