Announcing New Board Members and Retiring Directors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (August 6, 2026) — The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) recently announced the appointment of three new members to its Board of Directors, bringing additional regulatory, legislative, and industry leadership experience to the organization’s governing board.

Amanda Crawford, Commissioner of the Texas Department of Insurance, was appointed by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) to serve on NIPR's Board of Directors. Commissioner Crawford oversees one of the nation's largest insurance markets and brings extensive regulatory leadership and public service experience to the Board.

Also joining the Board is R. Lindsey McCutchan, Senior Director of State Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at Nationwide Insurance and National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) representative. McCutchan brings deep expertise in insurance regulation, public policy, and legislative affairs, providing valuable insight from the industry perspective.

In addition, Michael Skiados, Chief Executive Officer of the Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), has been appointed to the Board. As CEO of one of the nation's key insurance agent associations, Skiados offers significant experience advocating for insurance professionals and supporting industry innovation and efficiency.

"We are pleased to welcome Comm. Crawford, Mr. McCutchan, and Mr. Skiados to NIPR's Board of Directors," said NIPR CEO Karen Stakem Hornig. "Each brings a unique perspective and a wealth of experience that will strengthen NIPR’s ability to serve state insurance regulators, insurance professionals, and the broader industry. Their leadership and expertise will help guide NIPR as we continue advancing our mission of streamlining licensing and compliance processes across the insurance marketplace."

NIPR also recognizes the service and contributions of two departing Board members.

Allan McVey concluded his service as a member of the Board on June 30, 2026, the same day he retired as West Virginia insurance commissioner, following years of dedicated leadership in the insurance industry and state insurance regulation.

Adam G. Morris, Esq., who joined the Board in January 2026 as the NAMIC representative, retired from the Board on June 1, 2026. NIPR appreciates his contributions and service during his tenure.

"On behalf of NIPR, I would like to thank former Commissioner McVey and Adam Morris for their dedication and service," Hornig added. "Their leadership, insight, and commitment have contributed meaningfully to NIPR's success, and we are grateful for the impact they have made on the organization and the industry."
