Insurance Producers reinstating up to one (1) year after license expiration date will be charged double retaliation fee.

Applicants for the Variable Life and Variable Annuity line of authority (LOA) must supply a FINRA Central Registry Depository (CRD) number. If you need to verify your CRD number you may use the Broker Search feature found on FINRA's website.

Applicant must currently hold or be applying for life if they are renewing variable

Surplus lines applicants must hold an active Surplus Lines license in the resident state.

Limited line crop applicants must hold an active resident license in their home state for either the limited line being renewed, casualty or farm property liability (Minnesota).

Managing General Agent renewal applicants must have an active Insurance Producer license on the producer database.

Managing general agent may reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License Application at any time if the license is inactive.

Insurance Producer and Surplus Lines Broker applicants must late renew their license through NIPR's Non-Resident License Renewal Application if within one year of expiration. After one year, applicants may reinstate through NIPR's Non-Resident License Application.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.

Renewal Period Begins: 90 days prior to license expiration date
Renewal Period Ends: Last day of birth month biannually.
Reinstatement Period Begins: Day after expiration date.
Reinstatement Period: One (1) year past expiration date.
Managing General Agent

Renewal Period Ends:July 1st Annually.
