Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit initial license for business entities electronically.
- Submit major lines of authority.
- Submit limited lines of authority.
- Submit surplus lines for business entities.
- Submit Non Resident Adjuster Licensing (NRAL) through Non Resident License (NRL) application for business entities.
- Add lines of authority (amend) to an existing active license.
- Reinstate/reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License Application (NRL).
- Print license electronically.
Business Rules
Business entity applications will be reviewed by the state.
Applicant's name, FEIN, license number, addresses and state of residence must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.
Applications containing a non-uniform class or lines of authority (LOA) will be deferred to the state.
Applicants applying for surplus line broker licenses must actively hold both property and casualty LOA's.
Applicant cannot hold or apply for multiple classes of adjuster licenses.
Each Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must have an active resident or non-resident license in Kentucky.
The DRLPs provided must cumulatively cover the LOAs on the application.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
