Fees

Fees shown are state fees only. These fees do not include NIPR transaction fees.

  • All fees are charged per application.
    • $5 Processing Fee for Renewal
    • $15 Late Renewal Fee
    • $15 Processing Fee for Reinstatements
    • $150 Penalty Fee for reinstatements
  • The reinstatement window will begin 18 days after expiration date and will continue until one year past license expiration.
  • Applicant may reinstate their license through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application and pay all required fees.
  • If applicant license is inactive and has been expired for more than one year, applicant must reapply through the Resident License (RL) Application.

Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for Surplus Lines for individuals.
  • Late renew through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.
  • Print licenses electronically.
  • If the license requested do not qualify for renewals. Please visit https://www.sircon.com/ for more information.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old.

  • Applicant must provide a valid residence, mailing and business address. P.O. Boxes are not allowed for residence address or business address.

  • Applications for “inactive” or “cancelled” licenses with a status reason other than “failure to renew” or  Non CE Compliant must reapply through Resident License (RL) Application. The other cancelled or inactive are considered reinstatements and should use Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.

  • Georgia does not allow partial renewals. 

  • Every non us citizen must provide a signed, notarized copy of the Citizenship Affidavit Form and a copy of one secure and verifiable identification document and must be uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

  • For all background questions, only incidents that have not been previously reported should be noted on renewals.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to any of the background questions, supporting documents must be electronically uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

  • Applicants must submit all required documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse before the application can be processed.

Renewal Periods

All License Classes

Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date - Expiration Date- Biennially on the last day of the Birth Month

Late Renewal Period: The day after expiration date up to fifteen (15) days after.

Reinstatement Period: Eighteen (18) days past expiration date up to one (1) year after.

Continuing Education

  • NIPR does not verify compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application, however compliance is required prior to the states approval of the request.  To view your CE transcript, select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE
