- The reinstatement window will begin 18 days after expiration date and will continue until one year past license expiration.
- Applicant may reinstate their license through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application and pay all required fees.
- If applicant license is "Inactive" and has been expired for more than one year, applicant must reapply through the Sircon Georgia Producer Portal.

Applicant Can

- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for Surplus Lines for individuals.
- Late renew through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.
- Print licenses electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit partial renewals.
Business Rules
Reinstatement vs. Reapplication – Georgia Resident Licenses
- License eligibility and next steps depend on the current license status and status reason:
- Eligible for Reinstatement
- Licenses with a status of Inactive or Cancelled due to:
- Failure to Renew, or
- Non-CE Compliance
- may be eligible for reinstatement within one (1) year of the expiration date.
- These requests may be processed through the NIPR Resident License Renewal (RLR) application.
Not Eligible for Reinstatement (Reapplication Required)
Licenses with a status of Inactive or Cancelled for any other reason are not eligible for reinstatement.
Applicants must apply for a new resident license through the Sircon (Vertafore) Georgia Producer Portal.
Applicant must provide a valid residence, mailing and business address.
- P.O. Boxes are not allowed for residence address or business address.
Georgia does not allow partial renewals.
Every Non-U.S. citizen must provide a signed, notarized copy of the Citizenship Affidavit Form and a copy of one secure and verifiable identification document and must be uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
For all background questions, only incidents that have not been previously reported should be noted on renewals.
If applicant responds "yes" to any of the background questions, supporting documents must be electronically uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
Applicants must submit all required documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse before the application can be processed.
All Variable Life and Variable Annuity renewal applicants must provide a FINRA CRD number.
Special Instructions
***RESIDENT LICENSING IN GEORGIA***
To apply for a resident license in Georgia (individual or business entity), visit the Georgia Producer Portal (Sircon/Vertafore).
Resident license transactions are not available through NIPR, including:
- Applying for a new resident license
- Amending an existing resident license (e.g., adding a line of authority)
- Reapplying for an inactive resident license

Renewal Periods
All License Classes
Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date - Expiration Date- Biennially on the last day of the Birth Month
Late Renewal Period: The day after expiration date up to fifteen (15) days after.
Reinstatement Period: Eighteen (18) days past expiration date up to one (1) year after.
Continuing Education
- NIPR does not verify compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application, however compliance is required prior to the states approval of the request. To view your CE transcript, select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE
