Licensee's name, Tax ID, license number, and state of residence must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.

Licensees can renew their license through Resident License Renewal application up to license expiration date. After expiration date, applicant must reinstate by visiting https://www.sircon.com/. Applicant may reapply one (1) year after expiration date through Resident Licensing application through NIPR.

Insurance Producer Life must be actively held in order to renew Insurance Producer Variable Life and Variable Annuity or renew simultaneously.

Both Life and Accident & Health or Sickness lines must be renewed at the same time. Partial renewal for the lines is not allowed.

Both Property and Casualty lines must be renewed at the same time. Partial renewal for the lines is not allowed.

Applicant may not renew Personal Lines if Property and Casualty is actively held.

An active Life license is required to renew Brokering Life Settlement line of authority.

The DRLP for Limited Line Automobile Insurance Agent must hold an active Property AND Casualty OR Personal Lines OR a single Limited Lines Automobile Insurance Agent license.

At least one DRLP for Travel Insurance Agent must ALL actively hold Property AND Casualty OR Life AND Accident & Helath or Sickness on PDB.

Licensees renewing Surplus Lines Broker or Special Lines' Surplus Line Broker lines of authority (LOAs) must have an active renewable Property and Casualty LOAs in order for California to process the application.

Criminal Convictions: For the purposes of the California application, if "convicted" or found guilty by verdict of a judge or jury; and/or ever entered a plea of guilty, nolo contendre or no contest. Applicant must disclose all convictions, even if the charges were later dismissed or expunged, the guilty plea was withdrawn pursuant to Penal Code Section 1203.4, or applicant was placed on probation, received a suspended sentence or just ordered to pay a fine.

Driving Under the Influence: Disclose all driving related misdemeanors including, but not limited to, driving under the influence, reckless driving, driving without a valid license, or driving with a suspended or revoked license. Failure to disclose all convictions may result in a denied application. Exclude juvenile offenses tried in juvenile court.

A Designated Responsible License Person (DRLP) is NOT required. This information may be skipped in the application.

At least one active Qualified Manager(QM) is required to renew the license. If the system indicates that there are no Qualified Managers (QM) associated with your license after submission, please submit required documents for each QM through the attachments warehouse for Additional Licensing Documents, then contact the California Department of Insurance (CDI) at cdidocuments@insurance.ca.gov. Required Documents include:
