Fees

Fees shown are state fees only. These fees do not include NIPR transaction fees.

  • Per application.
  • For a late renewal the fee charged is equal to the renewal fee PLUS the late renewal fee.
  • A Continuing Education (CE) filing fee is charged in addition to the renewal fee. The fee is per license class that requires CE, not per renewal application/applicant. The fee for filing CE late is charged in addition to the renewal fee and the CE filing fee and increases every 30 days as listed below.

Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for surplus lines for individuals.
  • Late renew through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.
  • Print licenses electronically

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • If the licensee does not renew their Life Settlement Broker license class by the license expiration date, the applicant must reapply through the resident license (RL) application. No late renewals are allowed for this license class.

  • Late renewals are allowed if:

    • after license expiration date and
    • up to 12 months past license expiration date
  • Renewal for the crop adjuster license class is not required if original license effective date on PDB is between August 1 and September 30 of the same year the renewal is due.

  • Surplus lines insurance producer renewal is not due if obtained after November 1 annually.

Continuing Education

NIPR verifies compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application. You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date. It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.
