Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit adjuster license application for individuals electronically.
- Print licenses electronically.
- Submit an Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) renewal electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster Renewal Application.
- Submit a partial renewal. All Lines of Authority must be renewed.
Business Rules
General Requirements
- Applicant must hold an active renewable Alaska license.
- Partial renewals are not allowed. All active lines of authority must be renewed.
- Applicants wishing to remove a line of authority must contact the Alaska Division of Insurance prior to renewal.
- Lines of authority cannot be removed through the renewal application.
- If the applicant answers "Yes" to any background question, supporting documentation must be submitted electronically through NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
- If the administrative action identified in the background questions has been taken or the licensee has been charged with a crime, a statement of the circumstances and copies of court documents may be required for state review.
- Applications not completed within four (4) months from the date filed will be considered withdrawn. A new application and applicable fees will be required pursuant to Alaska Statute 21.27.040(f).
Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) Renewal Requirements
- Applicant must not hold an active resident adjuster license in any state.
- Applicants holding an active resident producer/non-adjuster license in a state that licenses resident adjusters may not designate a home state.
- If the designated home state license becomes inactive, the applicant may designate another state where an active nonresident adjuster license is held.
- Alaska may be selected as an Adjuster Designated Home State while renewing a nonresident Alaska adjuster license.
- Only Independent Adjusters and Portable Electronics Adjusters may designate a home state.

Begins: One (1) day after expiration date. Ends: Two (2) years after expiration date. Reinstatement applications must be submitted through the Initial Application process.
