Transferring agents must first surrender their existing resident license, or convert it to a non-resident license. Additionally if the applicant has an active Oregon non-resident license, it will need to be surrendered. Once the resident license is no longer active in the previous resident state, and there is no active Oregon license, apply for an Oregon resident license online. If you apply within 90 days of establishing residency in Oregon, no exam or pre-license training is required for the lines you were licensed for in the previous domicile state.
