Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Print license electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit partial renewals.
  • Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal No Home State Application.

Business Rules

  • General Requirements

    • P.O. Box addresses are not accepted for resident or business addresses.
    • Partial renewals are not permitted.
    • Applicants must provide a residence or business address that is not located in the application state.
    • If an applicant answers "Yes" to any background question, supporting documentation must be submitted through NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. Documentation may also be submitted directly to the Oklahoma Insurance Department.
  • No Home State Eligibility Requirements

    • Applicants must not hold an active resident adjuster license in any state.
    • The applicant's residence address must not be located in a state that licenses resident adjusters.
    • Oklahoma must be the Designated Home State on record to renew through the No Home State renewal application.
  • Address Violations

    • Applicants with an address violation on their licensing record must update their address information before renewing. Once the address information has been updated, the license may be eligible for renewal.

Renewal Periods

Important: Oklahoma licenses remain active for up to three (3) days following the expiration date. During this period, licensees may still be eligible to renew. Beginning on the fourth (4th) day after expiration, eligible applicants must use the reinstatement process.

Renewal period

Begins: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date. Ends: Expiration date.

Reinstatement period

Begins: Four (4) days after the expiration date. Ends: One (1) year after the expiration date. Reinstatement applications must be submitted through the Initial Application process.

Continuing Education

  • NIPR verifies compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application.  You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date.  It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.
  • Oklahoma Continuing Education Requirements

    • 24 hours of Continuing Education
      • 3 hours of Ethics
      • 2 hours of Legislative Update
      • 19 hours of Adjuster General Education
