Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for surplus lines for individuals.
- Print Licenses Electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal Application.
- Submit partial renewals.
Business Rules
Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
Applicant's name, birth date, Tax ID, license number, state of residence and National Producer Number (NPN) must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.
Applicant's mailing address must be either his or her residence address or a personal P.O. Box.
Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.
Applicant must not have an inactive resident license in the requested non-resident state.
Applicants with a status reason of 'Revoked' or 'Suspended' will not be allowed to apply electronically. Please contact the New Hampshire Insurance Department.
All Variable Life and Variable Annuity renewal applicants must provide a FINRA CRD number.
Variable Life and Variable Annuity applicants must also hold or renew the Life LOA.
Additional Documentation Requirements:
- When renewing a license, applicants should only answer “Yes” to a background question if there has been a new incident, charge, or conviction since the last application or renewal.
- If the applicant answers “Yes” to any background question, supporting documentation must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the application date or the application will be declined.
- Documents should be submitted electronically through NIPR’s Attachments Warehouse. Documents may also be submitted to the state via email or mail.
- Required documentation includes:
- A written statement explaining the circumstances
- A copy of the official document demonstrating the resolution of the charges or final judgment
- All correspondence must include the applicant’s name, SSN/FEIN, NIPR Transaction Number, and National Producer Number (NPN), if available.
