- Fees are per application and are deemed earned when received and are not refundable, per KRS304.9-200(4).

- Reinstatement Fee:
- If all LOAs are inactive the class fee will be assessed. If one (1) or more LOAs are active, then the class fee will be waived.
- Reinstatement example: Business Entity producer reinstating life and variable license would have a reinstatement fee of
- $100 (class fee) + $100 (life LOA) + $100 (variable LOA) = $300
- Amendment:

Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit initial license for business entities electronically.
- Submit for major lines of authority.
- Submit for limited lines of authority.
- Submit surplus lines for business entities.
- Can add lines of authority (amend) to an existing active license.
- Can reinstate/reapply through NIPR's Resident License Application (RL).
- Print licenses electronically.
Business Rules
Applicant must hold or apply for life to hold a variable line.
Applicant cannot actively hold independent adjuster license in conjunction with public adjuster.
Applicant cannot hold public adjuster license in conjunction with staff or independent adjuster license.
At least one Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be submitted on Business Entity application.
Each DRLP must have an active resident or non-resident license in KY and have at least one active appointment.
The DRLPs provided must cumulatively cover the LOAs on the application.
The DRLP for Managing General license class must hold Property and Casualty Agent license class.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
