- Per Line of Authority
- A complete renewal must be received by Pearson VUE no later than the expiration date of the license. This includes the online renewal and fee, and required documents. Failure to provide the required documents after submitting the renewal and fee may result in license suspension, denial, or an imposed fine from the Colorado Division of Insurance.

Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for surplus lines for business entities.
- Submit Partial renewals.
- Print license electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal Application.
Business Rules
Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.
Applicant's name, Tax ID, license, date of birth, state of residence, and National Producer Number (NPN) must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident of state.
Applicant mailing address must be either his or her residence address or a personal P.O. Box.
Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.
Applicant may not apply for a license in their own resident state.
Applicant must not have an active non-resident license in the requested non-resident state.
- There must be no serious:
- Regulatory Information Retrieval System (RIRS) actions for the applicant since last renewal.
- 1033 actions for the applicant since last renewal.
- If so, please contact the state for assistance.
Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reinstate or reapply through the NIPR's Non-Resident License Application.
Title applicant, including attorney title and title agency, must complete the Affiliated Business Arrangement Disclosure Form immediately after initial licensure or renewal of a Title license. The form can be found on Colorado's state website. Failure to submit the form is cause for license suspension, revocation, and or a fine.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
