Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Add lines of authority to an existing active license electronically.
  • Reinstate/reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident license application.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

  • Applicant must not have a residence address in the state of New Hampshire.

  • Applicants with a status reason of 'Revoked' or 'Suspended' should not be allowed to apply electronically.

  • Only one adjuster license type may be selected when applying for an initial non-resident adjuster license.

    • If additional adjuster license types are needed, they must be added later by submitting an amendment after the initial license has been issued.
  • Applicants amending a license must not be in a 90 day renewal or late renewal period.

  • Additional Documentation Requirements:

    • Any required documentation must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the application date or the application will be declined and fees forfeited.
    • Documents should be submitted electronically through NIPR’s Attachments Warehouse. Documents may also be submitted to the state via email or mail.
    • All correspondence must include the applicant’s name, SSN/FEIN, NIPR Transaction Number, and National Producer Number (NPN), if available.
    • Background Questions:
      • If the applicant answers “Yes” to any background question, the following documentation is required:
        • A written statement explaining the circumstances
        • A copy of the official document demonstrating the resolution of the charges or final judgment
  • Non-Citizen Requirements

    Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must meet the following requirements:

    • Must hold a valid U.S. resident license
    • Must have a U.S. mailing address
    • Must provide a valid U.S. residential address
  • Designated Home State Requirements

    • Applicants selecting a Designated Home State must hold an active non-resident adjuster license in the designated state.
    • Applicants may not select New Hampshire as the Designated Home State for a New Hampshire non-resident adjuster license.
    • Applicants who hold an active resident adjuster license in any state may not designate a home state.
    • If the previously selected Designated Home State license is inactive, the applicant may select another non-resident state where they hold an active adjuster license as the Designated Home State.
    • Applicants who hold an active resident producer (non-adjuster) license in a state that does not license resident adjusters may apply for a New Hampshire adjuster license and designate an active non-resident adjuster license as the Designated Home State.
    • Applicants who hold an active resident producer (non-adjuster) license in a state that does license resident adjusters may be deferred to the state for review.
    • Public Adjusters may not select an Adjuster Designated Home State (DHS).
  • Reinstatement (Expired Licenses)

    • If the license is in expired status and within 2 years of expiration, the applicant may reinstate the license.
    • A reinstatement fee (double the license fee) will apply when the status reason is “Expired.”
    • If the license is expired but not due to an “Expired” status reason, the double fee does not apply.
    • If the license has been expired for more than 2 years, the applicant must apply as a new licensee.
