Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for surplus lines for business entities.
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) Application.
- Submit partial renewals.
- Print licenses electronically.
Business Rules
Applicant must provide both a valid business and personal email address.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be listed on the application and have an active resident or non-resident license in Wyoming.
DRLP for Specialty Travel applicants must hold an active Wyoming Producer or Specialty Limited Line Producer License and have an active resident or non-resident license in Wyoming (No LOA requirement.).
DRLP for Crop applicants must hold an active Wyoming Producer or Limited Lines Producer License (resident or non-resident) with a Crop or Property line of authority.
License classes with LOA(s) not in status reason: “Failure to Renew – Reinstatable” will need to use initial applications.
License classes with LOA(s) in status reason: “Expired” will need to contact the Wyoming Department of Insurance at insurancelicensing@wyo.gov.
Reinstatements are allowed day 2 after expiration up to 1 year past the license expiration date.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically viaNIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via email at: insurancelicensing@wyo.gov.
Renewal Periods

- Renewal Period Begins: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date.
Renewal Period Ends: On expiration date.
Late Renewal Period: One year past license expiration date if in inactive status.
