State Requirements

Individual may not renew or reinstate if they have a status reason of "temporary license expired", or the time frame between issue date and expiration date is less than ninety-three (93) days. Contact the state for assistance.

License reinstatement applicant will keep the same license number. New numbers will not be issued for inactive licenses. Reinstatements are done through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster Renewal (NRAR) Application

Applicant with a non-resident Utah license in an active or inactive status may not late renew electronically if status reason is canceled, deceased, denied, revoked, failure to maintain or surrendered in lieu of admin.

Applicants with the following status reasons may apply through initial applications at any time electronically: canceled.

Applicant with an inactive non-resident Utah license that has been inactive for less than three hundred sixty-five (365) days must submit through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster Renewal (NRAR) Application.

Only a status reason of "failure to renew" may be reinstated electronically. LOAs that contain the following status reasons cannot be reinstated electronically: "canceled", "revoked", "voluntarily surrendered", "failure to maintain", "home state license", "deceased", "surrendered in lieu of administrator", "renewal denied". Contact the state for assistance.

• In order for an applicant to designate a home state, the applicant MUST NOT have an active resident adjuster license on PDB (in any state).
• If designated home state license is INACTIVE at the time of application, applicant will be allowed to select another non-resident state with an active adjuster license as the designated home state. 
• If applicant holds an active producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that licenses resident adjusters and is designating an active non-resident adjuster license as their home state license, the application will be declined.
• If applicant holds an active producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that DOES NOT license resident adjusters - and is designating an active non-resident adjuster, the application will be deferred for review.
• If applicant has an active producer (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that DOES NOT license adjusters, and no active non-resident adjuster license other than the application state license, applicant MUST designate a home state.  
• If applicant chooses to change the   home state license currently on record, the application will defer for review.
• Applicant may select Utah as Adjuster Designated Home State while renewing their Non Resident Utah license.
• If applicant holds only an active producer  (non-adjuster) resident license in a state that DOES NOT offer adjuster licensing, and is using current resident license to renew for non-resident adjuster license, the application will be declined.
