Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicable license must be active or have a status reason of “expired” to be eligible for renewal.

  • Applicants reapplying must not have any of the following status reasons: Revoked, Suspended, Never Relicense, Denial - Original License is Denied for Cause, or disciplinary term. Contact the state for renewal.

  • Applicant must not have an active resident license in the application state.

  • Applicant must renew all active lines of authority (LOAs) on Tennessee license. No partial renewals are allowed.

  • Applicants renewing past the expiration date must renew all eligible lines of authority (LOAs). No partial late renewals are allowed.

Special Instructions

Renewal Periods

  • Public Adjusters can late renew up to one (1) year after expiration date. The applicant will late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster Renewal (NRAR) application.
  • Public Adjusters can reinstate after one (1) year has passed since their expiration date through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License (NRAL) application.
