  • All fees are per application.
  • Additional fees:
    • Resident Insurance Producers and Adjusters must complete continuing education sixty (60) days prior to license expiration to avoid penalty fees.

Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for surplus lines for individuals.
  • Print Licenses Electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Late renew through NIPR's Resident License Renewal Application.
  • Submit partial renewals

Business Rules

  • Failure to renew by the license expiration date will result in cancellation of your license and appointments. To reinstate after expiration: a new producer application and fee of $300 will be required, per RSA: 400-A:29 ($150 License fee + $150 late fee). Process reinstatements at www.nipr.com, select "APPLY for LICENSE". Do not select Renew.

  • To reinstate after expiration: a new adjuster application and fee of $150 will be required, per RSA: 400-A:29 ($75 License fee + $75 late fee). Process reinstatements at www.nipr.com, select "APPLY for LICENSE". Do not select Renew.

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old as determined from the applicant's date of birth.

  • Non-citizens of the U.S. must have a resident license for selling insurance in one of the fifty (50) U.S. states.

  • Surplus Lines applicant must also hold or renew the Property and Casualty lines of authority (LOA).

  • Variable Life and Variable Annuity applicants must also hold or renew the Life LOA.

  • All Variable Life and Variable Annuity renewal applicants must provide a FINRA CRD number.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions, please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

Renewal Periods

  • Failure to renew by the license expiration date will result in cancellation of your license and appointments.   • For those adjusters licensed prior to 2020, New Hampshire will be transitioning to birth month cycle when they come up for renewal.  First grouping are those expiring 10/1/2020 and the 2nd and final group are the ones expiring 10/1/2021.

Applies if continuing education is completed less than 60 days prior to expiration, even if the license is still active.

Reinstatement period

Up to 2 years after expiration. Must reapply using a new application.

Adjuster

Renewal period

Starts: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration. Ends: License expiration date (last day of birth month biennially).

Continuing Education

NIPR verifies compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application. You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date.  It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.
