Fees shown are state fees only. These fees do not include NIPR transaction fees.
Fee Definitions
- Adjuster (when New Hampshire is the Designated Home State):
- Renewal fee ($75): Applies when your license is still active, you renew before the expiration date, and continuing education (CE) was completed at least 60 days prior to expiration.
- Late renewal fee ($100): Applies when your license is still active and you renew before expiration, but CE was completed less than 60 days prior to expiration. A $25 CE late fee is included.
- Reinstatement fee ($150): Applies if your license has expired. Renewal is no longer available. You must reapply through a new application.
- Adjuster (when New Hampshire is NOT the Designated Home State):
- Renewal fee ($75): Applies when your license is active and renewed before expiration.
- Reinstatement fee ($150): Applies if your license has expired. Renewal is no longer available.
- Continuing education (CE) is not required through New Hampshire.
- Public Adjuster:
- Renewal fee ($100): Applies when your license is active and renewed before expiration.
- Reinstatement fee ($200): Applies if your license has expired. Renewal is no longer available.
- Continuing education (CE) is not required.
- All fees are charged per application.

Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
- Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
- Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
- Print licenses electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
- Submit partial renewals.
Business Rules
Applicant must renew all active lines of authority on the license. Partial renewals are not allowed.
Applicants with a status reason of 'Revoked' or 'Suspended' should not be allowed to apply electronically.
Applicants cannot update their addresses via the renewal application. A separate Contact Change Form must be filed prior to submitting a renewal application.
Designated Home State Requirements
- Applicants selecting a Designated Home State must hold an active non-resident adjuster license in the designated state.
- Applicants who hold an active resident adjuster license in any state may not designate a home state.
- Applicants who hold an active resident producer (non-adjuster) license and do not hold a resident adjuster license may use the producer license to renew an adjuster license; however, all applications are reviewed by the state and approval is subject to the state’s discretion.
- If the Designated Home State license is inactive, the applicant must select another non-resident state where an active adjuster license is held.
- Applicants may not select New Hampshire as the Designated Home State unless New Hampshire is already listed as the DHS on record.
- If New Hampshire is already listed as the DHS on record, the applicant may not change the Designated Home State.
- Adjusters with New Hampshire listed as the Designated Home State on record must be CE compliant prior to renewal.
- Public Adjusters may not select an Adjuster Designated Home State (DHS).
- Non-resident Adjusters without a resident license or who do not wish to declare a designated home state are to renew online at State Based Systems.
Additional Documentation Requirements:
- When renewing a license, applicants should only answer “Yes” to a background question if there has been a new incident, charge, or conviction since the last application or renewal.
- If the applicant answers “Yes” to any background question, supporting documentation must be submitted within thirty (30) days of the application date or the application will be declined.
- Documents should be submitted electronically through NIPR’s Attachments Warehouse. Documents may also be submitted to the state via email or mail.
- Required documentation includes:
- A written statement explaining the circumstances
- A copy of the official document demonstrating the resolution of the charges or final judgment
- All correspondence must include the applicant’s name, SSN/FEIN, NIPR Transaction Number, and National Producer Number (NPN), if available.
Non-Citizen Requirements
Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must meet the following requirements:
- Must have a U.S. mailing address
- Must provide a valid U.S. residential address

Continuing Education
- NIPR verifies compliance with state CE requirements prior to allowing submission of a renewal application. You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant. It may take up to 72 hours from the compliance date for your status to update in our system.
- Continuing Education (CE) requirements apply only if New Hampshire is your Designated Home State (DHS).
- When New Hampshire is the Designated Home State:
- CE must be completed at least 60 days prior to the license expiration date.
- If CE is completed less than 60 days prior to expiration, a late CE penalty will be applied to the renewal fee, even if the license has not yet expired.
- If the license expires, CE must be completed before you can reapply (reinstatement requires a new application).
