- Business Entity Retaliatory Fee Notice: Nebraska assesses retaliatory fees for non-resident Agency, Agency – Title, and Agency – Travel applicants. Review the Retaliatory Fee schedule to determine the applicable renewal fee based on your resident state.
- Business Entity Late Renewal Fee: The late renewal fee for Agency, Agency – Title, and Agency – Travel applicants is $50 plus the applicable retaliatory fee based on the applicant's resident state.

Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for surplus lines for business entities.
- Submit Non Resident Adjuster Renewal (NRAR) through Non Resident Renewal for business entities.
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) Application.
- Print license electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit a partial renewal. All Lines of Authority must be renewed.
Business Rules
Applicant cannot renew earlier than ninety (90) days prior to license expiration date.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be listed on the application, with the exception of the following classes: Navigator, Pre-Need Seller, Agency-Rental Car, Utilization Review Agent, Reinsurance Intermediary Broker, Reinsurance Intermediary Manager, and Independent Review Organization licenses.
Each Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) listed must have an active resident or non-resident license in Nebraska.
Nebraska Business Entity Applicants: Applicant cannot make changes to the Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) information electronically. To amend or delete a DRLP, please complete a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer Amendment Form and submit it to the Nebraska Department of Insurance.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions, please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
Late Renewal/Reinstatement
- If your Agency, Agency – Title, or Agency – Travel license has been expired for less than thirty (30) days, you may late renew it through the Non-Resident Renewal Application. The applicable retaliatory fee and a $50 late fee will be assessed for late renewals.
- If your Agency, Agency – Title, or Agency – Travel license has been expired for more than thirty (30) days but less than one (1) year, you may reinstate the license by submitting a new initial application. The applicable retaliatory fee and a $50 reinstatement fee will be assessed.
License Type Specific Qualifications
- All renewal applications for Managing General Agent must provide proof of surety bond to the Nebraska Department of Insurance. Please fax documents to the state.
- All renewals for the Utilization Review Agent license and Independent Review Organization license must provide proof of approval or accreditation by URAC or NCQUA to the state.
- All renewals for Consultant-Corporate license must list at least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) that holds an active Consultant-Individual license with Life & Health or Property & Casualty lines in Nebraska.
