Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit Public Adjuster renewal application for individuals electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Business Rules

  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

  • Applicant must not have an active resident license in Kansas.

  • Public Adjuster - Limited to First Party Claims on only Commercial Lines Policies applicants can renew for up to one year past license expiration date. Following one year, applicants must apply through initial licensing application.

  • PO Boxes and Private Mailboxes (PMB) are only permitted in the mailing address field.

  • Applicants with a status reason of Voluntary Surrender are not eligible for renewal and are required to reapply through initial licensing application.

Renewal Periods

Renewal Period:

  • Starts: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date
  • Ends: Expiration date

Late Renewal Period (penalty fees apply):

  • Starts: Immediately after license expiration date
  • Ends: One-year following license expiration date.
