**Note: Kansas does not allow more than one active DRLP on record.

As of July 1, 2021, the Kansas Department of Insurance no longer tracks or maintains affiliations. Action is only required upon request from the Department.

Report changes to Owners, Officers, Partners or Directors

Kansas does not track or maintain changes to Owners, Officers, Partners, or Directors (OPOD) for most business entity licenses. As a result, OPOD changes do not need to be reported, and no action will be taken if updated information is submitted.

However, OPOD information is required and must be kept current for the following license classes:

  • Pharmacy Benefit Managers
  • Reinsurance Intermediaries
  • Third Party Administrators (TPA)
Understand residency type changes

To update residency from Kansas to another state or from another state to Kansas, complete the Change Resident State form. Follow the submission instructions included on the form.

  • If you are moving from Kansas, your license will be converted to a nonresident license. You are required to obtain an active resident license within 30 days moving from Kansas. Failure to obtain an active resident status will result in cancellation of your Kansas nonresident license.
  • If you are moving to Kansas from another state, after reviewing your request, the Kansas Department of Insurance will email detailed instructions on how to obtain a Kansas resident license. The process will include submitting a resident application through NIPR, providing supporting documents, and undergoing a review for approval to obtain a Kansas resident license. See Resident Producer Licensing for more information.
