Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
- Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
- Reinstate through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application.
- Print licenses electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
- Add lines of authority to an existing active license electronically.
Business Rules
Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant’s date of birth.
The adjuster designated home state selected must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the producer database.
A non-resident independent adjuster license applicant may not apply if the applicant holds an active Indiana non-resident public adjuster license.
In order for an applicant to designate a home state, the applicant must not have an active resident adjuster license on the producer database (in any state).
Applicant may not designate a home state if the resident state offers adjuster licensing.
Applicant may select Indiana as the Adjuster Designated Home State while applying for their non-resident Indiana license.
Three hundred and sixty-five (365) days after expiration, applicant must apply as new.
If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.
