Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for Surplus Lines for business entities.
  • License printing available electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit late renewals through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) Application.
  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant's name, license number, Tax ID, and state of residence must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.

  • Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.

  • Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reapply through NIPR’s Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.

  • At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must have an active resident or non-resident license in Georgia.

  • The DRLP's provided must cumulatively cover the lines of authority (LOAs) on the application.

  • Every non us citizen must provide a signed, notarized copy of the Citizenship Affidavit Form and a copy of one secure and verifiable identification document uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
    • ​​​​​​​If the applicant is a corporation, partnership, or other business entity, only one employee or officer of the entity, who has authority, must complete and submit these documents.
  • For all background questions, only incidents that have not been previously reported should be noted on renewals.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to any of the background questions supporting documents must be electronically uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

  • Applicants must submit all required documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse before the application can be processed.

Renewal Periods

All licenses

Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to December 31st biannually

Late Renewal Period: Up to 15 days past expiration.
