Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for Surplus Lines for business entities.
- License printing available electronically.
- Print licenses electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Submit late renewals through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) Application.
- Submit partial renewals.
Business Rules
Applicant's name, license number, Tax ID, and state of residence must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.
Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.
Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reapply through NIPR’s Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.
At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must have an active resident or non-resident license in Georgia.
The DRLP's provided must cumulatively cover the lines of authority (LOAs) on the application.
- Every non us citizen must provide a signed, notarized copy of the Citizenship Affidavit Form and a copy of one secure and verifiable identification document uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
- If the applicant is a corporation, partnership, or other business entity, only one employee or officer of the entity, who has authority, must complete and submit these documents.
For all background questions, only incidents that have not been previously reported should be noted on renewals.
If applicant responds "yes" to any of the background questions supporting documents must be electronically uploaded via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
Applicants must submit all required documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse before the application can be processed.
Renewal Periods
All licenses
Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to December 31st biannually
Late Renewal Period: Up to 15 days past expiration.
