  • $15.00 Application Fee is charged for each license class offered to an individual. This fee applies to first time or amended licenses and reinstatements. There will always be at least a $100.00 charge in addition to the application fee for an individual.

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Reinstate a license electronically.
  • Add lines of authority to an existing active license electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.

Business Rules

  • As of January 1st, 2012, the Georgia Department of Insurance requires every applicant to verify proof of lawful presence in the United States by submitting the following documents along with the application:
  • All applicants will be required to submit these documents with the application before the application can be processed. If the applicant is a corporation, partnership, or other business entity, only one employee or officer of the entity, who has authority, must complete and submit these documents. The Citizenship Affidavit Form requires signing to be witnessed by a Notary Public and have them affix with their notary seal. Scan the documents and submit them by mail, or email, to the state of Georgia.

  • Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) Rules:
    • In order for an applicant to designate a home state during the application process, the applicant must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the Producer Database (PDB) and no active resident adjuster license.
    • If designated home state license is inactive at the time of renewal and no active resident adjuster license exists, applicant may select another state with an active adjuster license as the designated home state. Application will defer to state for review.
    • If applicant holds only a non-resident adjuster license in a state that licenses resident adjusters, applicant is permitted to designate an active non-resident adjuster license as their home state license. Application will defer to state for review.
    • If applicant holds only an active non-resident adjuster license in a state that offers adjuster licensing, applicant must use current resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license. Application will defer to state for review.
    • If applicant has an active non-resident adjuster license in a state that does not license adjusters, and no active non-resident adjuster license, applicant must use current active resident license to renew non-resident adjuster license. Application will defer to state for review.
  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents to the state via mail, email, or fax.

  • Applicant must be eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.
