Business Rules

  • Address must match respective resident/home state license address.

  • P.O. Boxes are allowed for mailing addresses.

  • P.O. Boxes are not allowed for business or residence addresses.

  • Applicant's District of Columbia license record may be in any status on PDB for a contact change request (CCR) transaction to be submitted.

Most requests are submitted via NIPR but to become a resident of the District they also have to be scheduled for fingerprint/background appointment. We also accept changes via fax to 202-354-1084.
