License management
Apply for a license
To apply for a license in Florida, visit LicenseHub.
If you can’t apply for the lines for which you have qualified, contact the state to verify that they have received the exams and any necessary pre-licensing education completion information. Also ensure that they have reported this to NIPR with the correct last name, social security number and date of birth.
Renew a license
To renew a license in Florida, visit LicenseHub.
If you can’t renew a particular line offered via NIPR, verify that the line is actively held in your resident state. If the line is not held, you cannot request that line via NIPR.
Print a license
To print your license, access your state’s license print tool and follow the instructions on the page.
Find current producer licensing information
Visit the Insurance Agents & Agency Services page on the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) website.
Cancel or surrender a line of authority
To surrender a license or delete a line of authority, review the requirements on the Transfer or Surrender of License page.
You may also submit a written request to the address listed at the bottom of this page. The request must include your name, license number, mailing address, telephone number, a copy of the insurance license (or a statement if unavailable) and your signature.

Report a legal name change – individual or entity
To report a legal name change for an individual or entity, mail or email a request to the Florida DFS. The request should include legible supporting documentation (such as a marriage certificate, articles of incorporation, driver’s license or social security card).

To update contact information:

Entity: Login to MyProfile on the Florida DFS website.

Changes to affiliations or Designated Responsible Licensed Producers (DRLPs) should be submitted through MyProfile on the Florida DFS website.

Changes to Owners, Partners, Officers or Directors should be submitted through MyProfile on the Florida DFS website.
