Fees

Fees shown are state fees only. These fees do not include NIPR transaction fees.

  • Per application.
  • $25.00 late fee is assessed starting the 8th day following license expiration through February 28th
    (or February 29th on leap years). The total late fee for this period will be $50.00.
  • Starting March 1st through one year following license expiration date the applicant should be
    charged an additional $25.00. The total late fee for this period will be $75.00
  • The license will stay active during the seven days past expiration.

Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Print license electronically.
  • Applicant can update Designated Responsible Producer electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must not have an inactive West Virginia license with status reason of "suspended".

Renewal Periods

  • Applicant may late renew via this NIPR Application up to one (1) year after license expiration date with a status reason of "renewal payment not received". After one (1) year, or if license is inactive with any other status reason, for any length of time, applicant must apply for a new license through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License (NRAL) Application.

All License Classes

Renewal Period: Renewal cycles begin 90 days prior to last day of Birth Month and close the last day of Birth Month annually. Licenses expire the last day of birth month biennially.

Late Renewal Period: Up to one year after the expiration date
