Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.
  • Submit late renewals.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.
  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

  • Applicant’s resident and mailing address must not be in the state of Virginia.

  • Please note: An application is considered unapproved and closed after thirty (30) calendar days if the applicant does not provide all required documentation. A new application and non-refundable processing fee is required.

  • Renewal status can be checked online, and if the expiration date shows the following year the license is renewed and can be printed online.

Renewal Period Ends: Expiration date.

Late Renewal Period: Up to 1 year after expiration date.
