Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for surplus lines for individuals.
  • Print Licenses Electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal Application.
  • Submit partial renewals

Business Rules

  • Failure to renew by the license expiration date will result in cancellation of your license and appointments. To reinstate after expiration: a new adjuster application and fee of $150 will be required, per RSA: 400-A:29 ($75 License fee +$75 late fee). Process reinstatements at www.nipr.com, select "APPLY for LICENSE". Do not select Renew.

  • To reinstate after expiration: a new producer application and fee of $300 will be required, per RSA: 400-A:29 ($150 License fee +$150 late fee). Process reinstatements at www.nipr.com, select "APPLY for LICENSE". Do not select Renew.

  • Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years old as determined from the applicant's date of birth.

  • Applicant's name, birth date, Tax ID, license number, state of residence and National Producer Number (NPN) must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.

  • Applicant's mailing address must be either his or her residence address or a personal P.O. Box.

  • Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.

  • Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reinstate or reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.

  • Applicant must not have an inactive resident license in the requested non-resident state.

  • Applicants with a status reason of revoked or suspended should not be allowed to apply.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

Renewal Periods

  • For those adjusters licensed prior to 2020, New Hampshire will be transitioning to birth month cycle when they come up for renewal. First grouping are those expiring 10/1/20 and the 2nd and final group are the ones expiring 10/1/21.
