Rules and Regulations
Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Submit renewals for surplus lines for business entities.
- Print Licenses electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident Renewal (NRR) application.
- Submit partial renewals.
Business Rules
General Requirements
- Applicant cannot late renew an inactive license. Applicant must reinstate or reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License application.
- Applicants with a status reason of 'revoked' or 'suspended' will not be allowed to apply electronically.
- Applicant must renew all active lines of authority on the license. Partial renewals are not allowed.
- If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions, please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.
Line of Authority Requirements
- Surplus Lines applicants must also hold or renew the Property and Casualty line(s) of authority.
- Variable Life and Variable Annuity applicants must also hold or renew the Life line of authority.
- Applicants renewing the Credit line of authority must have a DRLP that holds the Credit, Life, or Accident and Health or Sickness line of authority.
- Applicants renewing the Life Settlement Producer license must hold an active Producer license with a Life line of authority in New Hampshire.
Portable Electronics
- Business entities renewing the Portable Electronics Small or Portable Electronics Large license class must contact the New Hampshire Department of Insurance if the number of locations has changed.
