Fees shown are state fees only. These fees do not include NIPR transaction fees.

  • License fees are per application.
  • DRLP Association Fee - Nevada assesses a $50 fee for each Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) associated to a business entity.
    • is based on the number of active DRLP(s) associations on state record when the renewal was generated
    • number and renewals are generated 91 days prior to license expiration date
    • number of DRLP(s) is multiplied by $50 and added to the license renewal fee
  • Fee Exceptions
    • DRLP was associated to the business entity license within 90 days prior to the expiration date or,
    • the state has no associations on business entity's licence record - transaction will be deferred to the state for review

Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
  • Submit renewals for major lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Submit renewals for surplus lines for business entities.
  • Late renew through NIPR's Resident License Renewal (RLR) Application.
  • Print License electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit Partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must have an equivalent license for the requested LOA(s) in the requested state.

  • Res Producer/Producer Firm and Resident Surplus Lines Broker applicants with a status reason of 'failure to renew' must reinstate license through Resident License (RL) application as long as current date is thirty-one (31) or more days and up to one (1) year past expiration date for Independent Adjuster or Public Adjuster licenses.

  • Applicant must be applying to renew all active lines held on license. No partial renewals are allowed.

  • Designated Responsible Licensed Producer Requirements
      • The licenses below require at least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) to be provided on the application. All DRLPs provided on application must be actively licensed as a resident or non-resident in Nevada and hold equivalent license class with lines of authority that the business will hold prior to renewing license.  If more than one (1) DRLP is listed on the application, then DRLPs are allowed to cumulatively hold lines for the business entity. For example, business application is for Life and Health. If two DRLPs are submitted, it is acceptable for DRLP1 to actively hold Life and DRLP2 to actively hold Health lines and this will cumulatively both for the business entity. More DRLPs are accepted as long as each one holds at least one of the requested lines. 
  • Note: DRLP information listed on renewal applications are used for verification of license eligibility.  DRLP(s) will not be updated in the state’s system. To update DRLP information please visit https://www.sircon.com/ComplianceExpress/ServiceRequests/IndvAsscMntn.jsp.

  • DRLP must actively hold equivalent license if business entity is apply for:
    • Non-Res Producer/Producer Firm or Resident Producer/Producer Firm DRLP must hold Non-Res Producer/Producer Firm or Resident Producer/Producer Firm
    • Independent Adjuster DRLP must hold Independent Adjuster
    • Public Adjuster DRLP must hold Public Adjuster
    • Life - DRLP must hold Life
    • Health - DRLP must hold Health
    • Variable - DRLP must hold Variable
    • Property - DRLP must hold Property
    • Casualty - DRLP must hold Casualty
    • Personal Lines - DRLP must hold Personal Lines or  Property and Casualty
    • Crop - DRLP must hold Crop
    • Personal Property Storage - DRLP must hold Personal Property Storage
    • Limited Credit - DRLP must hold Limited Credit or Casualty
    • Limited Rental Car - DRLP must hold Limited Rental Car or Property and Casualty
    • Limited Travel Bag - DRLP must hold Limited Travel Bag or Property and Casualty
    • Portable Electronics- DRLP must hold Portable Electronics or Property and Casualty
    • Adjuster-Property and Casualty - DRLP must hold Adjuster-Property and Casualty
    • Adjuster-Workers Compensation - DRLP must hold Adjuster-Workers Compensation
  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse.

Renewal Periods

  • All License Classes
    • Renewal Period Begins: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date.
    • Renewal Period Ends: Expiration date
    • Late Renewal Period: Up to Thirty (30) days after expiration date.
