Applicant Can

  • Submit contact change request for any license on NIPR's Producer Database (PDB)
  • Submit Email Changes
  • Submit Phone number Changes
  • Submit change to state code of residence address for resident individuals.
  • Submit change to state code of residence address for non-resident individual only. Address must match respective resident/home state license address.
  • Submit change to state code of business address non-residents only. Address must match respective resident/home state license address.
  • Submit change to state code of mailing address non-residents. Address must match respective resident/home state license address.
  • Submit change to state code of mailing address for residents.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit change to state code of business address for residents.

Business Rules

  • Applicant’s Maine license record must be in active status. 

  • PO Box and Private Mailbox (PMB) are not permitted in the business address field. 

  • Resident Maine individual licensee: P.O. Box is not allowed for individual residence addresses. 

  • Resident Maine individual licensee: Applicant must maintain a residence and/or business address in Maine. 

  • Resident Maine business entity licensee: Applicant must maintain a business address in Maine. 

  • Non-Resident Maine individual licensee: Applicant’s residence and/or business address must not be in the state of Maine.  

  • Non-Resident Maine business entity licensee: Applicant’s business address must not be in the state of Maine.

Two Years

"Maine licensees can submit primary name changes electronically through NIPR. Please access the following link: https://pdb.nipr.com/my-nipr/frontend/identify-licensee" 

For licensees going Non-Resident to Resident, they must submit an application and fee.

For Producers going Resident to Non-Resident, they must complete an application (no fee) found on ME DOI website at: https://www.maine.gov/pfr/insurance/licensees/individuals-business-entities/producers
