Applicant must not have any serious RIRS actions or 1033 actions since last renewal or initial application. Contact the state for additional information, if applicable.

Insurance Producers with Life, Accident & Health, Property, Casualty and/or Personal Lines lines of authority must be in continuing education (CE) compliance to renew license. Effective June 9, 2021 the requirement to complete 18 hours of classroom CE was removed. To be in CE compliance, individual must have (36) total credit hours in which (3) of the hours are Ethics through classroom, classroom equivalent, or self-study method courses. Crop line of authority must have (18) total credit hours in which (3) of the hours are Ethics to renew. Please allow up to two (2) to three (3) business days from date compliance shows met on your SBS CE transcript to be able to submit renewal. Public Adjuster applicant must be in continuing education (CE) compliance to renew application. Public Adjuster applications are deferred to the state for Proof of Financial Responsibility. See Iowa Administrative Code 191-55.10(82GA, HF499) Evidence of Financial Responsibility.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.

Renewal Period: Ninety (90) days prior to expiration date - Expiration date.
Late Renewal Period: Up to one (1) year past expiration date.
- NIPR verifies compliance with the states CE requirement prior to allowing submission of a renewal application. You may select your resident state on the following link: Verify My CE to view your CE transcript and determine whether the state has updated your status to compliant in their system and on what date. It generally takes up to 72 hours from the compliance date for the status to be updated in our system.
