Resident Surplus Lines applicants: A grace period of thirty (30) days will be given after expiration date. On the 31st day the license will is inactive and applicant must contact state for reinstatements. After one (1) year, applicant will apply as new applicant through Resident Licensing Application.

Applicant must hold an active renewable license in Indiana unless applicant is reinstating.

A resident independent adjuster licensee may not renew if the licensee holds an active Indiana resident public adjuster license.

At least one (1) Designated Responsible Licensed Producer must be listed on the renewal application.

The designated responsible producers must cumulatively cover the lines of authority on the business renewal application. This excludes self-storage insurance, surplus lines, and portable electronics.

Self-storage applicants must enter at least one (1) designated responsible producer that actively holds a resident producer license with property & casualty line of authority.

Portable electronics applicants must enter at least one (1) designated responsible producer that actively holds a portable electronics limited lines license and/or a Resident Producer license with property & casualty line of authority.

Surplus lines applicants must enter a designated responsible producer that actively holds a surplus lines license in Indiana.

Applicant's producer license with property & casualty line of authority must be active to renew surplus lines license.

If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax. All other required documentation must be forwarded directly to the state.
