- Applicant may reinstate license electronically up to thirty (30) days past expiration. After thirty (30) days applicant will no longer be eligible to reinstate electronically.

Applicant Can
- Submit renewals for business entities electronically.
- Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
- Late renew through NIPR's Non-Resident No Home State Renewal (NHSR) Application.

Business Rules
- Hawaii Memo
A licensee shall apply to the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs (”DCCA”) and the Insurance Commissioner for approval of the use or change of a trade name.
All phone and fax numbers entered on application, including authorized submitter information, must contain ten (10) digits.
Applicants may not have a P.O. Box as their business address.
Applicant must provide a valid US business email address and business phone number.
- If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions, please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
- Pharmacy Benefit Manager, Services Contract Provider and Vehicle Protect Product Warrantor do not need to submit supporting documents if you answer "Yes" to any background questions on the application.
If license went inactive before the expiration date, the applicant must contact the Hawaii Division of Insurance.
Renewal Periods
All License Classes
Starts: 90 days prior to expiration date, on the 1st day of the month.
Ends: April sixteenth (16), every odd year.
