Apply for a license
To apply for a license in Mississippi, visit LicenseHub.
If you can’t apply for the lines for which you have qualified, contact the state to verify that they have received the exams and any necessary pre-licensing education completion information. Also ensure that they have reported this to NIPR with the correct last name, social security number and date of birth.
Renew a license
To renew a license in Mississippi, visit LicenseHub.
If you can’t renew a particular line offered via NIPR, verify that the line is actively held in your resident state. If the line is not held, you cannot request that line via NIPR.

Cancel or surrender a line of authority
To surrender a license or delete a line of authority:
Individual: Complete the Individual Voluntary Surrender form.
Entity: Complete the Entity Voluntary Surrender form.
Follow the submission instructions included on the forms.

Report a legal name change – individual or entity
To report a legal name change:
Individual: Complete the Notice of Producer/Adjuster Name Change form.
Entity: Complete the Entity License Amendment form.
Follow the submission instructions included on the forms.
Update contact information – individual or entity
To update contact information:
Individual: Visit LicenseHub. Find more information on the contact update process on our Contact Change Request page.
Entity: Complete the Entity Change of Address or Telephone Number Request form on the MID website. Follow the submission instructions included on the form.
Report changes to Affiliations or Designated Responsible Licensed Producers
For changes related to affiliations or Designated Responsible Licensed Producers (DRLPs), complete the Entity License Amendment form. Follow the submission instructions included on the form.
Report changes to Owners, Officers, Partners or Directors
To report changes to Owners, Officers, Partners or Directors, submit a request on your entity’s letterhead. Requests must be signed, scanned and emailed to Licensing@MID.MS.gov.
Understand residency type changes
Residency type changes can be reported using the Duplicate License/Letter of Certification & Clearance Change of Address or Telephone Number Request form. Follow the submission instructions included on the form.
