Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster licenses for individuals electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit for Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Submit partial renewals.

Business Rules

  • Applicant must have a renewable non-resident license in Maryland. If license is revoked or suspended, renewal is not allowed. Applicant must contact the state.

  • Maryland allows electronic reinstatements if the applicant's Maryland license has been expired more than one (1) year and one (1) day. Reinstatements are processed through NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application to reinstate.



Renewal Periods

  • If applicant's status is cancelled and it has been ninety (90) days or more since expiration date, applicant must use NIPR's Non-Resident Adjuster License Application to reinstate.

Public Adjuster

Renewal period

Starts: Ninety (90) days prior to license expiration date. Ends: Expiration date.

Late renewal period

One (1) year after expiration date.
