Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit renewals for individuals electronically.
  • Submit renewals for limited lines of authority.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Business Rules

  • Applicant's name, birth date, license number, state of residence, Tax ID, and National Producer Number (NPN) must match current Producer Database (PDB) record for resident state.

  • P.O. Boxes are only allowed for mailing addresses.

  • Applicant must provide a valid country code and business email.

  • Applicant may not renew a license in their own resident state.

  • Applicants for Appraiser and Umpire must be CE compliant.

  • Applicant expired greater than one year with an inactive status must reinstate or reapply through NIPR's No Home State (NRLNHS) Application.

    • There must be no serious:
      • Regulatory Information Retrieval System (RIRS) actions for the applicant since last renewal.

      • 1033 actions for the applicant since last renewal.

      • If so, please contact the state for assistance.

  • If applicant responds "yes" to one of the background questions please submit supporting documents electronically via NIPR's Attachments Warehouse. The documents may also be submitted to the state via mail, email, or fax.
