Applicant Can
- Submit initial license for business entities electronically.
- Submit major lines of authority.
- Reinstate/reapply through NIPR's Non-Resident License (NRL) Application.
- Print Licenses Electronically.
Applicant Cannot
- Add lines of authority (amend) to an existing active license.
Business Rules
All Florida application fees are Non-Refundable per section 626.171(5), F. S.
Applicant must not have an active resident license in the application state.
Applicant must not already have an active equivalent license for the requested LOA(s) in Florida.
- Applicant’s Residence, Business and Mailing addresses provided on the application must all be U.S. addresses. P.O. Box cannot be used for business address.
- All instances of phone number must:
- be a valid 10-digit phone number
- have extensions populated in extension field, if applicable
- not have area code begin with a '0' or '1'
- not be all the same number
Florida will not accept business entity license applications that have “Medicare” and/or “Medicaid” in the business entity name.
Business Entity applicants must enter at least one ‘Individual’ entity type on the Owners, Officers, Partners and Directors (OPOD) section of the application. At least one individual Owners, Officers, Partners and Directors (OPOD) entry must be listed as an ‘Owner’ and/or ‘Officer’ on the application.
Exactly one Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP) must be provided on application. The DRLP entered must have an active Florida license on the Producer Database (PDB) (resident or non-resident).
- DRLP must have at least one of the following active appointment on PDB in Florida for at least one major line of authority:
- 0214 LIFE/VA
- 0215 LIFE VA AND HLTH
- 0216 LIFE
- 0218 LIFE AND HEALTH
- 0220 GENERAL LINES (PROP/CAS)
- 0240 HEALTH
- 0814 NON RES LIFE AND VA
- 0815 NON RES LIFE HLTH AND VA
- 0816 NON RESIDENT LIFE
- 0818 NON RES LIFE AND HEALTH
- 0840 NON RES HEALTH
- 0920 NON RES GEN LINES P AND C
- 2044 PERSONAL LINES
- 9044 PERSONAL LINES
