Rules and Regulations

Applicant Can

  • Submit adjuster for individuals electronically.
  • Submit Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) electronically.
  • Reinstate a license electronically.
  • Print licenses electronically.

Applicant Cannot

  • Submit adjuster for business entities electronically.

Business Rules

  • All Florida application fees are Non-Refundable per section 626.171(5), F. S.

  • Applicant must be eighteen (18) years old or older as determined from the applicant's date of birth.

  • After submission, please setup a MyProfile account at the state of Florida in order to monitor the status of the transaction.  MyProfile account can be setup at: https://DICE.fldfs.com

  • P.O. Box addresses cannot be used for residence or business address fields.

  • All instances of phone number must be a valid 10-digit phone number (extensions are allowed but must be populated in extension field).

  • Applicant must not submit an application using an Individual Taxpayer identification Number (ITIN) that begins with the number 9.  Example: 9##-##-#### 
    • Florida requires applicants to have an SSN with U.S. work authorization. Please contact the Florida Department of Financial Services at agentlicensing@myfloridacfo.com directly if the applicant has an ITIN that begins with the number 9. Example: 9##-##-####
  • Addresses provided on the application must all be U.S. addresses.

  • Non-citizens must submit a copy of your work authorization documentation to agentlicensing@myfloridacfo.com

  • Florida applicants must be fingerprinted by IdentoGO by Idemia, formerly MorphoTrust USA. To register and pay for fingerprinting, go to https://fl.state.identogo.com. Additional information can be found on Florida’s website at https://www.myfloridacfo.com/division/agents/licensing/agents-and-adjusters/fingerprinting-information. If you submitted fingerprints to Florida in the last 12 months, you’re not required to submit fingerprints. If you currently hold a valid Florida license and submitted fingerprints within the last 48 months, you’re not required to submit fingerprints.

  • Adjuster Designated Home State (ADHS) Business Rules
    • The ADHS selected must have an active non-resident adjuster license on the PDB.
    • In order for an applicant to designate a home state, the applicant must not have an active resident adjuster license on PDB (in any state).
    • Applicants may only designate a home state that is in the following list of states. Other states will not be accepted as a designated home state:
      • Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, Wyoming.
