Rules and Requirements

Business Rules

  • Failure to remit payment by the due date or late renewal date (if applicable) will result in termination of appointments. The company must submit new appointment requests for each producer they would like appointed with their company.
  • Appointment renewal payment and NIPR processing fees are non-refundable.
  • Electronic processing through NIPR is mandatory and renewal invoices cannot be paid directly to the state’s insurance department.
  • Electronic payment options processed through NIPR will immediately reflect the invoices as paid. NIPR will forward payment and renewal transactions to the state within 24 hours of that payment.
  • Once the invoice and list have been generated and made available to the company, the company will not be allowed to terminate any appointments on the list.
  • If an invoice appears to be inaccurate, please do not pay. Contact us at Support@NIPR.com.
  • For an appointment to be invoiced, appointees must have an active license. Active appointments on an inactive license will not be invoiced.
  • Appointments and terminations are not turned off for Connecticut appointment renewals.
  • Contact the Connecticut Insurance Department about disputes regarding a specific appointment. You’ll need to provide documentation to verify you previously terminated the appointment.
  • Companies that have a statutory address in one of the following states are not invoiced: Foreign companies in AK, AZ, CO, HI, IL, IN, ID, MD, MO, MT, NY, OR, RI, and UT. The expiration dates are automatically updated.
