Payment Methods: Credit card or electronic check only
- Credit card: There is a $60,000 limit on credit card payments. If an invoice exceeds $60,000, you must choose an alternative payment method.
- Electronic check: There are no check fees for paying by electronic check. NIPR fees will apply.
Electronic check payment: May require authorization from your financial institution. Checks in the amount over $999,999 cannot be submitted to NIPR electronically. Rules and Requirements
Business Rules
- Failure to remit payment by the due date or late renewal date (if applicable) will result in termination of appointments. The company must submit new appointment requests for each producer they would like appointed with their company.
- Appointment renewal payment and NIPR processing fees are non-refundable.
- Electronic processing through NIPR is mandatory and renewal invoices cannot be paid directly to the state’s insurance department.
- Electronic payment options processed through NIPR will immediately reflect the invoices as paid. NIPR will forward payment and renewal transactions to the state within 24 hours of that payment.
- Once the invoice and list have been generated and made available to the company, the company will not be allowed to terminate any appointments on the list.
- If an invoice appears to be inaccurate, please do not pay. Contact us at Support@NIPR.com.
- Appointment fees depend on the company's state of domicile.
- Only appointments for producers with active licenses on the Producer Database (PDB) will be renewed.
- You can only terminate appointments if they're listed as active on the PDB when you submit the termination to NIPR.
- If you have a dispute regarding a specific appointment, contact the Iowa Insurance Division (IID) at Producer.Licensing@IID.Iowa.gov. You must provide documentation to verify you previously terminated the appointment.
